Chopping Boards
Once your
knives have been sharpened it is important to make sure they
stay sharp. One of the best ways to do this is to use a good quality
chopping board. In my opinion the best type
of chopping board is made from wood. If you use a glass board or a
glazed plate your knives will blunt quite quickly.
I have made my own chopping boards from 40mm thick solid oak and you
can buy them too. They are chamfered top and bottom and sanded to a
silky smooth finish. They are then seasoned with rape seed oil so that
they are ready for use.
I can make them is almost any size you like so contact me with your
requierments for a quote. Typical cost is 2p per square cm so a 20cm X
30cm board would be £12 plus P&P.
